Exactly. This is not giving her a pass this is forcing her hand. If she says under oath that she turned everything over that is relevant and he has something she didn't turn over, or something turns up which is quite likely if they exist, then she's cooked.

I still have a little faith in Trey Gowdy, he’s not stupid.
Gowdy is dealing with a masterful liar that can evade his lame traps.
Gowdy is thinking if she doesn’t appear under oath, then that appears as an admission of guilt.
He’s thinking on the other hand if she appears, then I’ll nail her.
No Mr. Gowdy, she WILL APPEAR UNDER OATH and she will qualify all her statements “I tried my best”,. “I can’t be sure but I was as thorough as I could be”, etc.
And if he presses her, she will do a classic Clinton and make it look like another Republican is playing politics in an effort to derail her campaign for President as the first woman to be nominated as a presidential candidate.
There are ways to bring the Clintons down but republicans such as Gowdy are unwilling to sacrifice themselves to do it.

If Gowdy had evidence, Hill would know because of the Dems on the committee. Contrary to popular belief, this isn’t a prosecution. The result will be a report to other Congressmen.

Gowdy’s prosecutorial background points in the direction,”Never ask a question, in Court, you don’t know the answer to beforehand”.
