For most of the USA, yes. Here in Northern California he is well known. I have visited his home in Sonoma, now a museum. He was a very interesting historical figure. As you say, treated badly for a while but gained respect from the Anglos. Unfortunately lost most of his fortune; his family would have been fabulously wealthy today if they had retained all his land and not lost it. One of my sisters lives in Sonoma, beautiful land there (and expensive wine country).

You’re an idiot if you believe you’re referring to me since I am not angry, not bitter, am white, a Christian, and a proud American. But it wouldn’t be the first time you flat out made up something out of desperation now would it?

California was an incredible state in the past, the “Golden State”, and people loved visiting it, and marveling at the infrastructure and the roads and the wonderful California people, it was truly fantastic.
