Baltimore (WJZ) — City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby says Freddie Gray received his critical injuries in Baltimore police custody and has charged all six officers involved in his death.

The state medical examiner’s office turned over Gray’s autopsy on Friday morning, a day after the police turned over their investigation into Gray’s death.

“The findings of our comprehensive, thorough, and independent investigation coupled with the ME’s determination that Mr. Gray’s death was a homicide which we received today, has led us to believe that we have probable cause to file criminal charges.”

Oh, please. Stop it with the disingenuous bullshit. You know damn well what I mean.

No, I'm not being disingenuous. I am seriously asking - what evidence is out there to support any other credible version of events? There is speculation that he was trying to hurt himself, but speculation is not evidence.

To use your same dubious “editorial we” tactic — “others here” on FR have “pointed out” NUMEROUS other accounts of what happened before the arrest, during the arrest, in the van, and after the ride that are at loggerheads with the simplistic set of events you postulate

Go look for yourself.

I suppose that depends on the racial makeup of the officers involved in the arrest.

Yes, others have pointed out other possible accounts of what happened - namely, that Gray intentionally hurt himself. But that’s just speculation.

This will create a strong incentive for white Baltimore officers to leave the force, allowing Baltimore to hire more black officers, and saving it from a lot of pension costs for older white officers.

Unless it’s true.

Ahh, so it's not disingenous cherry picking if (you think) it's true. Gotcha.

Apparently, in Maryland the DA has the option of either pursuing a grand jury indictment, or filing charges herself and going before a judge in a probable cause hearing. Looks like she chose the latter.

Can we assume the City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is a democrat?

The ‘Queen of Sheba’ mayor is a democrat.

The whole Baltimore city council is democrat.

The police are democrats...

The police Union’s run by democrats.

Al Sharpton’s democrat.

The Baltimore Sun’s a democrat newspaper...

The DOJ investigating this is run by democrats.

The dead criminal was a democrat.

Rioters and looters in Baltimore are democrats...

Last time Baltimore had a Republican mayor was 1967...

We don’t have a dog in this fight.

I’d feel better about this if we had a few more facts.

This appears to be purely political with the police and Gray being pawns.

I wonder what the qualifications are for becoming a LEO in Baltimore. Do you imagine one must have a high school education? Does it exempt blacks from snitches get stitches?

I look forward to the murder charges against the VA employees who let Veterans die while in their care.

Police departments nationally have had a hiring policy for a while, where they reject applicants with an IQ that's too high. In the linked article, an applicant unsuccessfully sued when he was rejected for having an IQ of 125 (corresponding to a test score of 33). Police depts only hire people with scores in the range 20-27 (21 corresponds to an IQ of 104, so we appear to be talking about an IQ range of about 100 thru 115)

I wonder why Chicago hasn’t had any problems with their cops. Do they have any to go after?

if you or I placed a person, shackled, in the back of a van, did not put a seatbelt on them, and then showed up someplace a half hour later to find the person with a broken neck, not breathing, how long do you think it would take to charge us with murder

The seatbealt requirement was only instituted just 9 days prior. It is possible the cops in question did not even know a belt was required.

BTW there were other people arrested in the van why did they survive and Freddie Gray didn't?

I think conservatives need a new conscience. Yours is woefully lacking.

"I suppose that depends on the racial makeup of the officers involved in the arrest."

Having retired from a State law enforcement agency, the powers that be will take out as many innocent police officers as they can, just to get to one.
