“I believe the United States will risk isolating itself in the world if there is an agreement and it decides to break it,” said Zarif, who earlier this month returned to a hero’s welcome in Tehran after reaching a temporary framework agreement in Switzerland with the United

“Whether you have a Democratic or Republican president, the United States is bound by international law, whether some senators like it or not,” he added. “And international law requires the United States live up to the terms of an agreement it enters into.”

Zarif noted that most international agreements are simple executive orders that do not require Congress to ratify them.

“If the U.S. Senate wants to send a message to the rest of the world that all of these agreements that the United States has signed are invalid, then you will have chaos in your bilateral relations, although you are welcome to do it,” he said.

Just do it.

Well it’s the game that Obama has chosen to play. It sounds like for all of the bluster the Republicans really don’t want to stop Obama.

He can piss up a rope. No treaty is final until the Senate says it is. That’s OUR law — always has been.

We already have (sent such a message - ask Ukraine, for example.) And we have the chaos, too.

All we usually get from Iranian islamonazis are threats to destroy USA and a wider range of general BS. Now we get false lessons about our Constitution, too. Yippee!

However, if the duly elected Senate shoots down the agreement, and Obama implements it anyway, it makes one hell of an election issue going into 2016.

Reminds me of sign the Iranians posted many years ago during a military parade in Tehran, the sign read:

“America cannot do anything” (can't stop us)...

Carter's America is beginning to look a bit better than Obama’s Americastan...

I wonder if this POS knows that Congress is given the sole authority about declaring war. If not, perhaps he should be given an education on that fact with the arrival of a few D-5s

What will President Cruz say to Iran? I think he would say: 'Iran, this treaty is not going to be signed because you are a terroristic nation. So you can kiss my ass and we will support nations like Israel.'

Obama says: 'We love all terroristic nations and I hate our allies, like Israel.'

OK, Iran + Obama vs Congress.

Never mind the obvious issues, seems like bad “optics”....I thought that all that the administration cared about was the optics.

“The seventies called. They want their chicken shit democrat policies back.”

At least Carter was capable of learning something, which today’s Dems are not. He got tougher (too little and too late) after the Rooskies invaded Afghanistan.
