Baltimore Dispatch just gave the 40 minute warning. Sounds like they are really serious about enforcing a FULL curfew.
I think that means “we have a Papa Johns”...my latin may be a little rusty....( Love you my Catholic Friends, just a joke).

No it’s not...it’s taught. Often from childhood on. It’s a violent culture which “grades” itself on who is toughest....and what they can get away with defying the authorities. This “measures” their place in their culture.
I have 2 UM degrees, one from the mid-70’s. Most of the white kids who said they were from Detroit had actually moved out of the city after the riots. We only went in to Cobo and other music venues.
My late husband’s people are from Dexter; our son went up every summer. Being of Greek background, the only place they would take him in Detroit was to Greektown.
I feel sorry for Detroit. I have quite a collection of pictures of abandoned Detroit. It was a great city once, but the Dims, unions, and non-producers destroyed it.
Appears to be calmer tonight, though a beauty shop just got looted. Police don’t sound frantic on the radio. I suspect by this weekend we will see activity pick up again.
The Enoch Pratt library is fantastic, second to none. There really is nothing like it.
But, I am not too worried about a molotov cocktail. Takes more than that.
I DO worry more about the vagrant kitchen and shelter set up across the street years ago by the Catholic diocese at the otherwise wonderful Basillica of the Assumption.
This society is out of control. Libraries are like sacred places to me. Even the smell of books and all that knowledge on the shelves. I’ve always admired librarians. My conservative sister-in-law is one. I feel your sorrow at what is happening. It is personal to me too. Ugh!
I go to say to you two, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac did more to destroy this nation and bring us to where we are now than any of these rioting Amish.
There is a reason back in ‘92 that Clinton used Fleetwood Mac for his theme song.
I remember back in 92 in the victory party how they kept blasting Fleetwood Mac, Carville was there among them in the crowd.

The counterculture has not changed dramatically since the 70’s, but it has tossed aside any appearance of idealism. The new counterculture draws in two groups, disaffected upper middle class white youth and lower class black youth. Their goals are purely materialistic, looted iPods and government subsidies for housing, education and anything else they can think of.
Divestment is the common denominator. Neither the white leftist nor the lower-class black rioter is invested in his society. The white rioter is a globalist, the black rioter is an outsider. Neither are invested in the city and country they are busy trashing.
These are the children of the welfare state with little in common except a rejection of the commercial way of life. Neither the entitled white university brat or the posturing ghetto teenager has any interest in working. The businesses they smash are an alien thing to them. Small businessmen do not go about smashing stores.
They need to make that mother who slapped her kid for rioting, mayor of Baltimore. She just might have saved that whole town.
