Yep, I’m glad we live ‘out’. No problems in our little coal-mining ‘patch town’.
Son and DIL brought many cans of beans, dry goods and other such stuff to add to our stash. We are far far behind in the prepping, so that helps. Like you I want to be prepared for bad stuff ahead. DIL is like me. She wants to be prepared. I’m glad I have an ally in this!
Oh! Awesome! I can see you two digging around in the kitchen together, looking for more ways to stash stuff, and practicing outdoor cooking! Never mind how beneficial it’ll be, it’ll also be FUN!

Did you see that WPXI is sending poor Rick Earle (the consumer watchdog guy) to cover the Baltimore riots, like they did with Ferguson?
What possible purpose can it serve to throw a local PA newsguy into the melee there?
The only “purpose” is to make the dumb people watching believe that the station is a MAJOR player and a new outlet other stations depend on.
News in general and in Pittsburgh in particular, is horrible.

The answer is a former Harrisburg mayor bought the remains for over $40,000 and stuck them in a warehouse. IIRC it was the same mayor who bought western US artifacts with the idea of creating a Wild West museum...in Harrisburg. That mayor squandered and amazing amount of taxpayer money.
