A really bad storm going through New Orleans area.
FEMA better by there now.
WHOA!
That I can say I have never seen before!
That sucker looks like it’s on its way to Florida soon ;/
Is this going to be Bush’s fault, too?
Moving on...
Bush’s Fault in 3, 2, 1...
That bridge is over 80 years old. It’s been hit many times by ships and barges.
We got stuck on top once when my dad’s truck stalled. The lanes are very narrow. It’s both a train and passenger car bridge over the Mississippi.
You have to say a prayer when crossing that thing.
My power remained on. It was dark as night, but the worst missed me a bit to the south. Just goes to show that New Orleans can’t handle THUNDERSTORMS-you think everyone should come on down, live and invest, when hurricane season threatens?? Even the airport is shut down-planes landing but no takeoffs. Electrical failures all over the place. Wind is still gusting above 40mph and here comes more thunderstorms. Incompetence everywhere. New Orleans ASPIRES to Third World status.
This could actually improve New Orleans.
Here is the interview with the photographer with multiple runs of the video. He had gotten out of his car and taken shelter in the restaurant but left the camera which was pointed towards the bridge running. He was at the right place at the right time.
