I don’t mind debate. That isn’t what I’m taking about (and you know it).
He's saying that all entry into the US....legal and illegal... has to be restricted until unemployment is down and work force participation is up.
That's the message that can resonate with US citizens across the political spectrum. They know the US job market is lousy for them.
It's the primary issue that is needed if there's to be any chance to save the US. All the other wannabees (even our beloved Cruz) leave themselves a lot of space on the issue.
No sale
It’s not all about jobs. It’s not even about jobs. It’s about illegal activity and on a grand scale
If it's legal and it gives jobs to foreigners that keep US citizens out of the job market and prevents them from achieving self-sufficiency, it isn't going to even help in solving the problems the US faces. It'll just be a factor depressing wages and fueling the anger that's simmering.
Whatever
You want a CEO as president, and you’re morphing the role as badly as any liberal
It’s about the constitution and the rule of law
Scott Walker has all the right enemies... that makes is easier for conservatives to stand with him ... Good for you Michael Savage...
I wonder what Savage bases his opinion of Ted Cruz on?
I wonder what Savage bases his opinion of Ted Cruz on?I don't listen to Savage, so I can't comment, but he is mentioned in the last paragraph of the article.
Michael Savage was brief, and well, savage: A bunch of rotten villains, every last one of them. Theyre all villainous. Theres no other word for it. The American political system is villainous. At this point, the only one I can back is Scott Walker, and I dont know much about him. I will not back Rubio. Hes a non-entity and never should have run. Hes a clown. Ted Cruz is unelectable. He looks like a weasel and he sounds like a weasel. I dont care how much you love him. So whos left. Scott Walker. Thats all.If that's the extent of his analysis and criticism of Ted Cruz, I'm LOL. A real deep thinker, that Savage, huh?
Very politic of you to cut the last few words of the article when posting it....
I see that you’ve been making sure we keep up on Walker developments by posting a lot of articles on him. I’m waiting now to see how he expands his views on immigration, but I suspect the following has already occurred to him:
When, inevitably, he is asked about all those jobs that Americans just won’t do anymore, I hope he gives them a two-pronged reply. If we stop suppressing wages for those jobs by stopping the flow of illegal immigrants while setting limits on the number entering legally AND if we stop paying able-bodied people to stay out of the job market, we will likely find that there really isn’t a shortage of Americans willing to work those jobs after all. And then ask the reporter, “Wouldn’t we be a more prosperous and productive country if people were moving up the employment ladder, developing real skills, instead of sitting home collecting assistance payments when they’re able to work?”
Of course, the Left would hammer him for being cruel to the downtrodden, but most people, even some on assistance, would agree with him, including a lot of traditional Democrats. The more the Left tries to hammer him, the more their audiences will learn of his position, while wondering why it’s all that bad.
Another thought: This could be considered Walker’s free market alternative to the Democrat’s insistence on a higher minimum wage. As I said before on another thread, he’s really found the sweet spot to occupy on the immigration debate.
I object to your characterization. Just because we don’t agree with our priority regarding stopping the invasion of the US, that does not mean I’m morphing to a liberal position. Who precisely are these liberals who want to curtail foreign workers, legal and illegal, anyway?
I had limited allowance of words I could post - so it hit the cutting room floor.
: )
How very true. I always felt that Savage was just a liberal caricature of a conservative.
It’s about borders language culture and the rule of law
Jobs follow suit.
If it’s about something it’s not supposed to be about tgen people pit themselves against each other and politicians do what they want after they’re elected.
Legal immigration v illegal
Legal immigration has parameters. There’s nothing wrong with it illegal immigration is illegal. It’s not allowable under any circumstances. If someone says immigration is allowable depending on a glut of jobs it is a lot of lying he’s probably talking re illegal immigration. We don’t allow it period
I like Cruz and Walker - actually I like all of ‘em on our side except Bush. Bush comes across and a nice man, kinda clueless, and as a Democrat. It’s the ‘as a Democrat’ that makes it impossible to take him seriously. He has the lightweight goofy feel... like Biden has.
ICAM!
Look at Baltimore tonight( not in any way excusing the rioting) American jobs should go to Americans, to many Americans are hurting to keep bringing more and more foreigners in.
Frankly let the Mexicans have the jobs instead of these ferals.
One thing that's upsetting is that issues of police excess have caused protests since last autumn. You'd think police departments would've gotten the police who are too aggressive in line by now, and more concerned about the well being of those in their custody. I'm not saying this to excuse the behavior of the thugs....nobody involved in that rioting was doing it to improve anything.
Another thing that is out of control is the sheer stupidity of some elected officials. That mayor in Baltimore let this happen, even seemed to have encouraged it.
