“Liquidity Trap”
QE should keep long rates low and expand the monetary base. Both have occurred and the economy is just limping along. If QE accomplished anything maybe it staved off a serious deflation.
I’d sure like to get some interest on my savings for a change. We have been in a low interest rate environment since Dubya’s first year.
