Would the case be tried in front of a Baltimore jury? That might not work out so well for those bringing suit.

If the businesses file a claim against the city or sue the city, they will lose. I don't see how they can win. It is best they sue and then hope it will get some publicity in the lost cause. If for some reason they win, Baltimore and their re insurer (if the dollar around is really high) will have to pay.

I would guess if they do that en-mass, the city and Ms. Mayor will settle just to shut them up.

This could go into many millions. Wait till they run to the microphones after seeing the repair bills.

In fact just for overtime alone for cops, other inter-agencies, helicopters will be into the millions...Then the tax payers will hear the Mayor told her police department to intentionally stand down...Of course they’ll want to raise taxes to cover all this. Wait for it.
