".....In a recent Washington Examiner interview, Cruz promoted legal immigration and criticized Walker for suggesting that he supported limiting legal immigration if it has a negative impact on the wages of American workers.
"When we talk about what should be the policy on legal immigration, it should be driven by the economic impact. And number one on the list of priorities should be: What is the impact on American workers and American wages?" Walker said.
"If unemployment is high and labor participation is low, why would we want to open the door and flood the market with more workers at a time when our own people here are looking for work?"
Walker said that we are a country of immigrants, but we are also a country of laws. He asserted that we should be looking out for the American worker in everything we do.
"From immigration to tax policy to welfare reform and everything, Im going to stand with the American worker."

The stupidity of people is overwhelming.
I haven’t head Walker retract his position that illegals should pay a fine and then they would have a clear path to citizenship. The only thing different is he says now that he wants to limit legal immigration.
Doesn’t make a heck of a lot of sense to support legalizing illegals who pay a fine and then limiting people who want to come legally.
Don’t have much respect for politicians whose epiphanies seem to align with an announcement for higher office. Until further notice Walker is looking like the Chamber of Commerce’s fall back candidate...
I understand that Ted Cruz has one of the worst attendance records in the Senate...both in committees and on floor votes.
It is a bit troubling.
That is very interesting. Thank you for posting it.

Well said.
I don’t know if I would take part in farce votes either.
That’s part of the system Cruz doesn’t like.
“You voted for the bill;before you voted against the bill”
I can agree that missing one or two votes because the "fix" is in would not be an issue. But this is a first-term Senator who is in the bottom 10% for showing up for his committee meetings, votes, etc. This is not good for a conservative to show a lousy work ethic.
I would have to see a chart in this regard. I don’t know being in the bottom 10% means anything.
Depending on how this looks when you look across all the Senators could really tell you something.
Without seeing the data, Cruz could sink to the lower 10% by just missing a single vote.
