Everest avalanch surviors....nearly 1,000 climbers and sherpa guides on Everest when the first avalanche struck and claimed ........the biggest toll of any disaster on the mountain.

"It was a monstrous sound, like the demons had descended on the mountain"....."the camp looked like it was hit by a "nuclear blast."

Yep....very hard conditions and it’s pouring rain....fears of landslides. All those people outside....and will hamper rescue attempts

This was right after the quake and you can see the terrible dust in the air from old buildings collapsing....there was a cloud over the city of this dust

Though the more modern buildings did not collapse as so many of the temples and older structures the damge and danger of them collapsing remains
