it should be illegal for politicians to collect speaking fee’s or book advances. in my opinion all that a speaking fee or an advance on a book deals are opportunities to bribe public officials.

Outsized speaking fees are a thinly disguised way to make a payoff to politicians or those with political influence for favors rendered or expected.

The fees may be legal but after all - it is the people who expect to reap those speaking fees who make the laws.

Even if they are legal they are immoral and unethical.

What could Hillary Clinton have to say in a one hour speech that is worth $200,000 or $300,000?

What kind of valuable advice or insight can Bill Clinton share in a one hour speech that is truly worth $300,000 to $500,000?
