A baker's dozen twelve plus one is the number of candidates seeking to fill the seat of the late U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee who died of brain cancer in February.
The special election to fill Nunnelee's seat is May 12, less than a month away and the jockeying has begun to court votes in DeSoto County, Mississippi's fastest growing county and a population that makes up nearly one-fourth or 23 percent of all voters in the First Congressional District.
The list of candidates, in alphabetical order, is as follows: Boyce Adams, Sam Adcock, Nancy Collins, Edward Holliday, Starner Jones, Trent Kelly, Chip Mills, Greg Pirkle, Henry Ross, Daniel Sparks, Mike Tagert, Quentin Whitwell and Walter Zinn.

Special election bump
I’m supporting Henry Ross, and I live in CD 1, they all run as Conservatives and talk of reduced government and reduced spending but Henry is the only one I hear talking about not voting for the CRs without spending reductions and he’s open about standing with those opposed to Boehner he is also against amnesty AND against funding obama’s illegal amnesty, ask Mike Tagert, the GOP-e, Haley Barbour candidate where he stands on these issues . Henry will stand with the Conservatives that are standing for us, not the “conservatives” that are standing for the US Chamber, the GOP-E and the Barbours. Mike Tagert, the barbour candidate doesn’t even live in the district.
Henry Ross should be the winner...Go Henry!!!!
