The other name that comes to mind is SDS, Students for a Democratic Society. I used to hear a lot about them during my high school years in the early 70’s. Our Civics Teacher warned us not to be violent ‘like these groups here’, as we slowly passed the newspaper articles and Look Magazines around the classroom.
