BoldRide ^

Normally when we’re reporting news from China, it typically involves them ripping off something someone else did. Today, though, there’s actually something interesting to talk about— a supercar. A completely unique not copied supercar from China. Go figure.

A completely unique not copied supercar from China.

It'd probably be a better car if they DID copy someone else's design.

Jeremy won’t be at Top Gear to pick it apart.

In what way is this a “supercar”?

-Design? Yeah, kinda sexy in a roadster way.
-Mechanical? Sounds pretty common with appropriate gearing, suspension and engine works (EFI, charger, etc.)
-Horsepower? If they can outrun a MOPAR Hellcat on the Belle Isle raceway track, maybe we can consider it.

Retail price? I betting that this, alone, is why some call this a “supercar”.

I suspect a good close look will show it to be many copied cars combined into 1.

Looks like every other sports car. Maybe if they added pagoda eaves on the roof.

0 to 60 in 5s? Hell cat will leave it in the dust & 124 mile range, will leave it sitting at a charger for most of its short life.

I like the “railroad crossing” badge on the nose. It’s probably on the steering wheel too — to remind the driver not to go over any railroad crossings because the car will shake apart.

Exactly - it's an expensive "peppy" car: Power comes from an electric motor producing 408 horsepower, and 0-62 mph is estimated in just 5.0 seconds.

408 ponies should have 0-100KPH in the 4.5 seconds range or so. It's an expensive dog with "hot looks".
