>> Cruz has said he’s open to discussing a path to legal status for some, but not citizenship. <<

But...but...but...That’s Amnesty!

As I’ve said repeatedly in here, anyone looking for a GOP candidate against all forms of amnesty will not find one, Cruz included.

There is a difference between a “path to legal status” and a “pathway to citizenship”. Cruz does not support citizenship for people who have broken the law. He does support temporary work visas however which would legalize someone here illegally but not give them citizenship and the rights that go with that (voting for example).

None of the candidates have pleased me 100% on their immigration stances however some have remained consistent and are closer to my views than others.

Cruz is the only one that has always rejected citizenship.

Walker is brand new to the idea.
