I think that the stats in KC are that there are more people going to bars because they don’t smell like a dirty ashtray. I’m not as adverse to the smell of smoking as some people since my mother smoked but I stayed out of bars as a youth because of the smoke, even during the brief period of time that I smoked. I did go research spittoons in bars. They died a natural death after the 1918 flu epidemic and during the time that tuberculous was also endemic.

My other son has switched to vapes. He says its the best thing he could have done for his health. I have told clients in custody cases that I will not represent them unless they quit smoking. It’s a vile habit and I have no problem with regulations on it.

I’m glad you realize that private property owners and adults don’t have the ability to make their own decisions, and they need enlightened people like you to employ the force of the G to make them see the light and employ their private property in ways that please you.

I have no problems with regulations on it either. Such as saying that you can’t smoke until you are 18. I don’t smoke and I also consider it a disgusting habit, but as long as it’s legal, private business owners should be allowed to determine if they want smoking in their places of business or not. If the government wanted to say that there should be no smoking in government buildings, I would be okay with that because it’s their building. If non smoking bars created more customers, then private owners would have figured that out a long time ago and there would already be all kinds of non smoking bars without the government interferences.

The government is being a hypocrite. Either ban it outright or allow it’s use. They don’t want to ban it outright because they want the tax money and it would just go underground anyways. If you want to destroy yourself and it does not have an impact on society at large, then that is your choice. It’s funny about the taxes also because most of the people who smoke are the poor. Hence, the Democrats are taxing the very same people who they always claim they are trying to ‘help’...

“I have told clients in custody cases that I will not represent them unless they quit smoking.”

If I were able to convince the government to use its guns to force you to cater to smokers, would you be happy? I’d guess nope.

Now, if you answered that honestly, then your position that you are satisfied with the use of government guns to enforce your preference is nothing but tyranny.

In addition, your claims of being affected are so miniscule in sociaty that it makes you a Petty Tyrant.

Those guns will be turned on you very soon. Enjoy your “Brave New World.” It will be well earned.
