The EPA is moving full steam ahead with their plans to clamp down on coal production in the name of reducing carbon emissions, regardless of how it impacts American energy independence or the costs which will be passed on to consumers. (And full steam ahead is probably an apt bit of gallows humor in this case, since we may be back to running on wood burning steam engines soon if the EPA has their way.) But that might change now that the D.C. circuit court has heard arguments from 26 state Attorneys General who are seeking to preemptively stop the regulations from going into effect. Their argument, which comes at a rather unusual stage of the normal process for rules implementation, is a compelling one and seeks to prevent entirely predictable harm to consumers and the grid.

Yes, because we don’t want to go from 0.00137% CO2 (the percent of the atmosphere that is CO2 produced by man) to 0.00138%- that would be devastating- the world would implode- everything would catch on fire then, life would cease going from 0.00137% to 0.00138%- Gosh, thank goodness we have the EPA around to protect us against these evil coal miners! Egads that was a close call! Phew! Thanks EPA- You acted In the nick of time! Had you waited any longer, say 2000 more years or better, we might be all the way up to 0.0014% of the atmosphere containing CO2 as a result of man’s production of CO2!
********NOTE*********: The atmosphere is comprised of 0.04% CO2- man is responsible for just 3.4% of that 0.04%- which means man’s contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere amounts to just 0.00137% of the atmosphere 3.4% of 0.04% = 0.00137%
I live in N Nevada. For the past 4 days, we have had a smoky sky.
Finally, the local Reno TV told us the smoke is from fires in SIBERIA......
I don’t know if that is true or not. No source said anything about massive fires in Siberia before that.
True, but since the commies took over the coal regs and the envir movement this is what we’ve gotten.
One of the founders of the Sierra Club, when asked why he stepped down said he left when the commies took over. My electric bill is up 30%.
Satellite sees smoke from Siberian fires reach the US coast

Fires burning in Siberia recently sent smoke across the Pacific Ocean and into the US and Canada. Images of data taken by the nation's newest Earth-observing satellite tracked aerosols from the fires taking six days to reach America's shores.
The states should tell the feds to go pound sand, and ignore the ridiculous mandates coming out of DC.
And if the feds don’t like it, then ALL of rhe states circling DC should cut off all of the utilites going into that swamp, and let the feds stew in all of their mandates, while freezing or frying in the dark.
The feds work for US, not the other way around.
Democrats=Communism+Treason.
I was wondering why northern Utah got so hazy for the last couple days... the air was crystal clear following the last storm, now it looks like 60’s L.A. even though we have had 10 mph winds since.
Yep. Great minds think alike.
Thanks for the post. BTTT.
