From observations, some folks do seem to “be born that way”, but many more seem to have either made some sort of hedonistic choice or suffered serious abuses as children. Those who oppose the therapy do not want it out that serious abuse of children begets homosexuality and also begets further abuses of children - if the therapy is allowed to continue, there will be many case histories of serious abuse and of “fixing homosexuality” by getting to the root of the damages cause by the abuse.
Sexual immorality begins as a thinking process.
Homosexuality has been condoned by our culture, because most people were first unrepentantly sexually immoral as heterosexuals and by refusing to judge others satiated their conscience with lies to themselves.
Not all liars are criminals, but all criminals are liars.
Homosexuals have striven to decriminalize their sexual immorality and continue to lie to others to satiate their scarred souls. They will hate anything that might redirect them away from their criminal thinking.
