A memo to all GOP presidential candidates not named Ted Cruz
Washington Times ^ | 4/20/2016 | Steave Deace

Posted on 04/20/2015 2:09:22 PM PDT by VinL

Here’s why if the Iowa caucuses were today he would win and you wouldn’t... This memo amounts to an intervention.

It serves to warn all other Republican presidential campaigns of a perfect storm looming on the horizon. Not only does the storm favor Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, but your combined failures/refusals to recognize it are only helping him. If that environment persists, Mr. Cruz will not only win Iowa next year, but win it convincingly.

Your skepticism of Mr. Cruz’s candidacy, and willingness to play ball with a system the average Iowa conservative no longer trusts, is helping to positively brand Mr. Cruz to voters looking for a fighter and an outsider.

And that is what the majority of 2016 Iowa Caucus voters are looking for.

Now before you (and your consultants) get defensive and immediately dismiss this memo as a ridiculous polemic written by a rube, please remember a few things.

My record predicting the outcome of elections in Iowa is proven. For this reason, many of your campaigns have already sought out my take on the lay of the land here. Several of you have already appeared on my radio show to speak to my audience. Some of your campaigns have even asked me for staffing referrals. And I just moderated the first joint candidate forum of the 2016 cycle in front of about a thousand Iowa Caucus voters/activists.

Given this track record, I hope you’ll each take this in the spirit it is intended. I know several of you personally, would be proud to vote for many of you, and am grateful to have such a strong field. Nonetheless, if the caucuses were today you’d all be fighting for second behind Mr. Cruz.

While it’s definitely (snip)

I have NoScript and Ad Block Plus running or I wouldn’t even attempt to view the site.

Same here. Running Firefox and went right to the article and it quickly loaded, even on my slow XP machine.

Yup. They are like the last contestant to bid on “The Price is Right”, who bids one dollar above the highest bid. I guess they still haven’t figured out that elections don’t work like “The Price is Right”.

Yes, and all the polling firms seem to have gotten the memo and refuse to include Cruz, even though he is one of the few candidates who has actually declared at this point.

Oh well, once Cruz wins Iowa, they won’t be able to keep ignoring him any longer :)

Which begs the question,
Why in hell is Iowa the center of the political universe?

You know that I was suspicious of the Harvard aspect of Cruz. But I have to admit that he has convinced me that he is the real deal.

It really has started to make me mad how FOX news will talk about all the candidates, even those that haven’t declared (their favorite JEB) but rarely mention Cruz. Really irritating.

I couldn’t pull up the article on the Washington Times site at all. It kept going to a large pic of Cruz with no way to get out of that pic and onto the article.

Gave up.

It is the surest sign that the GOP Establishment rejects Cruz. FOX is an amazingly ironic name for the network, because posing as a "right" balance for an audience of conservatives to its leftist competitors in terms of news representation (i.e., manipulation), is truly a case of the proverbial fox in the conservative henhouse.
