We’re STILL trying to rid ourselves of the last of the Rick Perry legacy and actually become a CONSERVATIVE state. This issue should be a NO-BRAINER for just about anyone with an “R” next to his name (I’d give a handful of Republicans in Hispanic majority districts some breathing room on this, maybe...but that’s it).
There should be no ‘struggle’...yet we still have a political party to clean up here.
Why not ask the right question...why should taxpayers who follow the rules and work hard pay for this? Mr “Activist,” why don’t you explain that to them, face to face?
Over in England to really stand up on the immigration issue and restore border control, a third party option exists called UKIP. UKIP wants to get out of the EU and its immigration regulations that don’t allow Britain control of its borders.
IMO, there are certainly Democrats in your state — most likely outside of Austin — who are quietly wondering why the F illegals should get better tuition rates than their friends’ kids from out of state.
If you can get some Democrats on board, then you may stand a chance of repeal.
Like I said before, it’s Texas, not Tejas or Texico (or Aztlan or Republica Del Norte . . .)
