to replace Serra with a statue of the late astronaut Sally Ride Hey, CA needs to have fair representation of lesbians. Who cares about a bona fide Founding Father?
Did you know that Fr. Serra was a top notch theologian who gave up his prestigious position as a university professor to do mission work with the natives? And that he spent a lot of time riding a donkey up and down the state of California from San Diego to San Francisco and back even to a late age checking on the missions.
All Sally Ride did was to spend time in a space shuttle and sexually goof with another woman.
