Because he’s a bad QB that is followed by a bunch of cultists that demand he be put in every time the starting QB throws an incomplete pass. I doubt he’ll still be an Eagle when the season starts, he just lacks the skills.

Good thing you are a better judge of QB talent than Chip Kelly.
He will get a real chance under a coach who runs his system.

True. From a pure technical standpoint, we was a bad quarterback.

That said, he took his teams to national championships in college and the playoffs in the NFL being a bad quarterback. If he reinvents himself to more of an NFL style quarterback, just think what he could do. ;-)

I’m not a big NFL fan, but I never could figure out if he was so bad how did he Qb a team into the playoffs?

funny how the broncos changed one player, the QB, and went from a losing season to playoff material.
and it was the replacements rookie season.

huh. just luck, i guess.

then again, how many other seasoned QBs didn’t make the playoffs?

The Patriots wanted to keep him, as they saw improvement. I am hoping the two years of working on his throwing has paid off. If he has improved at all, he might start in the Eagle’s offense. I would love to see his hard work pay off, in spite of both his critics and his fans.

True and false. He's no Tom Brady or Manning...but he's certainly good enough to be a 2nd or 3rd stringer. Have you seen the talent on these NFL rosters? Of 32 starters...only a handful are superstars and only about 1/2 are decent. He is certainly better than most 2nd and 3rd stringers...and his record proves that. To say that the only reason he wasn't on a roster is because he wasn't good enough is not telling the whole story. There are a LOT of guys that are on rosters that are a LOT worse than him. Just look at JAX....
