I’m more in favor of upon arrest for certain crimes, the arrestee is taken to a specific room and handed a revolver with one bullet and given five minutes to make their decision.
The only problem with that is you are allowing the police, by the sheer fact of arrect, to be the judge and jury.
I’m not comfortable with that; the police FREQUENTLY make mistakes.
I’m all for the death penalty.... but I don’t want the cops to apply it.
