Barry Hammer didn’t know what hit him.
A night out at a Celtics game with his wife and twin boys on Tuesday turned into a nightmare when he was punched in the face by a total stranger for no apparent reason. “I’ve never been punched in my life,” said the 38-year-old Auburn dad who’s still stunned by what happened in the mezzanine area of Boston’s TD Garden during his kids’ first Celtics game.
Hammer said he believes he was likely the victim of a so-called “knockout game.” The game has been seen around the country and involves attackers who sucker punch random people for a laugh.
But neither Hammer nor his wife and 10-year-old boys were laughing when he was knocked unconscious and left with a black eye, several cuts, bleeding on his brain, and a bump on the back of his head. Hammer said the incident happened when his family decided to leave the game at the end of the third quarter. It was a school night and he and his wife, Lisa, wanted to get the kids home for bed.
They stopped to use the restrooms before leaving....

The players are mostly black but the Celtic crowd is made up of mostly white people. My advice to any white person is to keep your distance from black people and never let your guard down when they are around. Twenty years of walking the tier in maximum security prisons teaches you a lot about animal behavior

Before Obama was elected he said he had joined Wrights church 20 years before because it reflected his views.

Many might accuse you of "racism" for the phrasing, but this is the exact lesson the major sports leagues need to learn. Cater excessively to one demographic and you are going to lose the others.
What are the Celtics doing to ensure the safety of the fans?? How many $ were shelled out for a family of 4 to see a professional BB game only to wind up with thousands of $ in medical bills. I hope the Celtics are footing his bills for the attack that occurred on their property.
