This is a bogus article. The corker bill was an Obama breakout .Korker got owned. The first giveaway is that it was bipartisan between Democrats and Republican.Nothing is bipartisan any more.
The original Constitutional clause says the senate may vote up or down the treaty. Now the senate needs 67 vote to veto Obama’s treaty. It’s really more complicated that that but korker will allow Iran to get a bomb with his recklessness.

Perhaps this was a easy collapse....in that there is ‘no’ treaty signed? Correct me if I’m wrong....but they simply sat at a table and said they’d reached some agreement. As of yet, has anyone really seen anything on paper?

The big news is that Obama folded. He said via his press secretary Josh Earnest that unless there were radical changes from what he saw earlier in the day he would sign the bill. Just before the committee meeting started he withdrew its veto threat.

Obama didn't fold, McConnell and Corker did by watering the bill down enough for the Democrats to climb on board.

This bill is actually capitulation on the part of the senate and lets Obama off the hook.

It pretends the pending Obama/Iran agreement is not a treaty.

Once again Obama and the democrat criminals in the senate give the republicans, the constitution and all Americans a good rogering.

Bull.ONCE AGAIN WE LOST. According to the Constitution a treaty requires 2/3 majority. They just gave him the difference!!

Read Andrew McCarthy’s article on this.

Corker and the GOPe gang changed the Constitution requiring a 67 Senate vote to approve a treaty to a 67 Senate vote required to veto the Obama treaty. This would make it impossible to defeat Obama’s treaty and give cover to the GOPe so that they looked like the did their best to stop Obama. A blatant disregard for the Constitution by the entire government.

The way someone on The Journal Editorial Report explained it, 41 Democrats can filibuster any attempt to stop the deal. The only question would be whether some vulnerable Democrats might refuse to join in the filibuster. The same person pointed out that the bill passed unanimously and that's generally a bad sign in Washington.
