With 600 million people south of our
porous non-existent southern border and untold millions outside the Americas who might also avail themselves of easy access, there can be only one immigration policy - take away the incentives to cheat the system and enter illegally.
Stop giving prizes for illegal entry.
Reverse the incentives in order to make
legal entry the more attractive path.
Any measure that permits those who entered illegally to benefit from that illegal act
is amnesty.

Your post is exactly what needs to happen. If a Conservative candidate would just uncompromisingly stand up for enforcement of the laws currently on the books, stop the anchor babies, and seal the border, I truly believe that person would be elected. I have never talked to anyone who didn’t want that.

Reverse the incentives in order to make legal entry the more attractive path. NONSENSE We have the most generous legal immigration system in the world. We take in more legal immigrants than the rest of the world combined. We need to REDUCE legal immigration from the current 1.1 million LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRANTS ANNUALLY to around 300,000, which was the norm from 1925 to 1965. In 1970 there were 9.7 foreign born in this country. It is now over 40 million and most of them are here legally.
