All joking aside, this is a lie. Health insurance was ALWAYS available to them before obamacare, same as everyone else in the country. All they had to do was do a google search for health insurance companies and pick up a phone.

Joe Conforti owned the Mustang Ranch which is on I-80 East of Reno. It has been moved further East now after Joe lost it to the IRS. The current owner is Lance Gillman who is a developer and minor pol in Story County which is the county in which both locations exist.

Not to play armchair CPA here but...

As independent contractors they could have bought a Health Care Policy ( HSA's especially ) and deducted 100% of it on line 29 as an Adjustment to Gross Income.

perhaps Mr Hof should take a tax course or take his CPA out to lunch and pick his or her's brain on the subject, or offer financial planning as a benefit to his Contractual Ladies...

I remember seeing a documentary about Hof and the ranch where he proudly boasted ‘his girls’ had paid health insurance’ and retirement plans. A lying pimp is no surprise.
