No need to see the video...everyone's suspicions are confirmed that this was a wild Amish parent attack on a teacher who disciplined an out of control Amish student.

To stave off the useless cavetchings of the next dozen or so posters look at it this way, two Obama voters determining the hierarchy of victimhood.

That’s not an actual graduation rate.
That’s just the percentage that stayed in their seats long enough to “Graduate” with a meaningless piece of paper.
No education allowed.

“A 37% graduation rate in that school district!! That is deplorable!”

It’s happening in Europe too, and is a surefire way to decline as a nation.

Hempstead spent $24,000 per student in 2011. Obviously this type of incident could be avoided if we just taxed the rich so we could spend more on the “children”.

For a couple of years, I was a Teacher’s assistant in an elementary school special education class. The parents were either super-involved in their kids education and helped us out in any way, or were always angry and complaining about us. I’m convinced that a couple of the angry, complaining parents would’ve attacked my boss the Teacher, except for the fact that I’m a VERY LARGE MAN and I intimidated them.

Same old speech, this won’t change unless there are real consequences: prison for the mother and juvie hall for the student until she is reformed or graduates to prison.

What a bunch of ANIMALS the welfare system is responsible for.
= = = = = = = = = = = =
“WE” are responsible for.....

While working, earning a living and raising a family “WE” sat back and allowed this to happen - under whatever guise they may have come up with - and it really didn’t matter which party was in ‘control’.

One of the easier examples to highlight is the smoking scourge. Even I, a 4 pack of regular Camels a day, figured there was nothing wrong with ‘designating’ an area of a restaurant that was smoke free.

After all, it had worked on an airplane (Saying that tongue in cheek - remember when the sign would just get moved to accommodate the number of smokers aboard?).

Well, now you can hardly smoke anywhere - including your own home in some jurisdictions....

Amazing how DC passed ‘pot laws’ and one of the ‘few’ places to legally smoke is in your home.

The day this legislation was ‘coming to a head’, someone in the City was in court over smoking a cigarette in his own apartment.

Didn’t hear how ‘they’ were going to handle the pot smoking???

Another ‘easy’ example is the Handicap laws. Again, sure -allow special parking where needed but ‘we’ may have gone a tad overboard when it comes to ‘them’ demanding we have braille DRIVE UP machines etc etc etc

Then throw in the allocating Soc Sec money to ‘handicap’ people whose handicap is they speak Spanish in a Spanish speaking territory, are junkies or drunks BUT society as a whole gets to support their ‘habit’.....

Like the ‘wise people’ for centuries have been saying...a free society works for a couple hundred years - takes about that long for ALL the dummies/have nots/etc to band together after figuring out they outnumber the producers and haves.....

Then after ‘they’ wrest away the fortunes from the haves and break the spirit of the producers, MOTHER GOVT finally gets a chance to take over and really screw things up.

A 37% graduation rate in that school district!! That is deplorable!

I'm a veteran urban school teacher, and here's my guess as to the general situation. Consider a class of 30 students. In that class:

5 students never attend school. They're on the rolls, but you'll never see them. Calls home aren't returned.

5 students attend two or three times a week. Naturally, they're all failing. Sometimes they'll just go to sleep when they're there. Sometimes they'll become disruptive.

5 students attend most days. But they talk continually in class. They use their cell phones whenever they feel like it. Those students are very disruptive, and often violent. The principal blames the teacher for not being more "creative", even though the teacher is following the mandated lesson plans exactly.

15 students are really great kids. Despite their poverty, they come to school with a good attitude. They want to learn something. But they don't learn much, because of the disruptive students.

One of my early life lessons was watching one of my 5th grade classmates try to stab a teacher with a pencil. For some reason, she was considerably older and heavier than all the other 5th graders. Fortunately, there was another teacher there to intervene.
