A community group aligned with Democrats is spearheading a rally near Gov. Scott Walker's home in Wauwatosa Monday afternoon to protest the goveror's proposed cuts to education budgets.

The rally is planned for 4:30 p.m. at the Juneau Park Play Field, 6500 W. Mount Vernon Ave., with a "possible march to Governor Walker's Wauwatosa home," according to a news release from Wisconsin Jobs Now, which is part of the Schools & Communities United coalition.

Something similar happened back in February. It is the Walker family home (his parents are still living there) but Scott Walker currently lives in the Governor's residence. Scott Walker's father said he turned his hearing aid down and the governor said he wouldn't be surprised if his mother baked them some chocolate chip cookies.

Scott Walker’s parents’ home swarmed by pro-union protesters

"Shouting through a megaphone, Wisconsin Jobs Now Director Jennifer Epps-Addison justified the protest by arguing the governor’s proposed cuts to education were invading their own homes, the newspaper reported.

Wauwatosa Now reported that Mr. Walker lived at the home, but the governor’s son, Matt, tweeted a correction: “‘Protestors March on @ScottWalker’s home’ CORRECTION: protestors March on my grandparents home,” he wrote, linking to the Wauwatosa Now report.

“They’re protesting out front of our home. Who lives there you might ask? My grandma & grandpa. Unbelievable,” the Republican governor’s other son, Alex, tweeted."....

In a perfect world, if the see protesters showed up at the governor's home, they would be shot. If they want to rally at a ballfield, fine. But as soon as they show up at the Walker home to annoy, harass or even threaten the governor and his family, they should be arrested. They have no constitutional right to intimidate.

The Left's storm troopers are marching next week to defend Big Education. The MSM is "setting the stage" - framing the "argument."

".....For-profit colleges offer training in areas such as auto repair and nursing and have been popular with nontraditional students. However, the industry has some of the highest student loan default rates and lowest graduation rates in higher education, and some veterans advocates say the schools aggressively recruit veterans in hopes of getting their federal G.I. Bill money. The Obama administration has waged a yearslong fight to improve outcomes and end aggressive recruiting at the colleges."

Yes. Local government police and many other government interest groups have protested against Walker in the past. At times, they’ve also been quite unruly.

Many members of such groups also speak against candidates like him from within Republican discourse. He has proven himself to be willing to do what others would not do. Beware those other candidates who make themselves look too shiny to be true by shouting the same rhetoric as that of their target audience.

Ask the shiniest of the others to announce clearly, repeatedly and very publicly that he will cut funding to public school teachers and other state and local (and therefore federal through pork) government interests.

Have to admit, I don’t think anyone’s been as vetted as Walker.

The left in Wisconsin has dug up his yard, emptied his closets, bugged his phones...

" MADISON (AP) -- The Legislature's budget committee is set to decide whether to eliminate a 71-year-old state board that regulates for-profit colleges.... Board overseeing Wisc's for-profit schools fights for its life [EAB looks like a shakedown outfit]

Educational Approval Board: Frequently Asked Questions for Schools, Students and Consumers

[snip]

14. What does the approval process involve?

The EAB has an application form, which is used to guide the process. The process generally look like this:

school requests application materials; school personnel meets with an EAB education consultant to review application material; school completes and submits the application materials and fee; the education consultant does a completeness and compliance review of the materials submitted; an industry consultant may evaluate programs; the education consultant prepares and sends letter of findings to the school; if needed, the school makes corrections to meet EAB requirements and resubmits revised materials; when the application materials meet EAB requirements, the school is approved to operate.

15. Do schools renew their approval?

Every year a school must renew its approval by sending in a renewal application. The application is due in September prior to the calendar year for which the school is renewing its approval.

16. Are there renewal fees?

The annual renewal fee has two parts:

a $500 fee due in September with the renewal application; and

a second payment which is a percentage of the school's adjusted gross annual revenues minus refunds paid to students."......"

First off I didn’t know they stopped protesting there. Secondly, he doesn’t live there anymore, he lives in Madison, the capital. His parents live there. But as long as liberals can make someone miserable they are happy.
