Without Mark Levin’s analysis, I thought this was a good thing for national security.
Ordinarily I would agree with you, but this isn’t the case and I think Levin is wrong. I couldn’t actually grasp what the argument is. So lets just say we don’t know. I’ve been looking for the actual language of the Senate Resolution, but haven’t found it. At this point, we each need to read the resolution ourselves and not take the word of any talking head. Everybody has an agenda in this game.
The eventual outcome I predict is mutual failure. Obama is agreeing to this resolution because he believes he has an out. That out is probably buried in the Confidential material and will be withheld from Congress under that pretense. The ‘executive agreement’ will be given to Congress where it will languish for support. Meanwhile the media will keep ‘tapping on the aquarium’ we call Congress to keep the news flowing.
Watch Ted Cruz during all this and see how he plays it. Break even, come out with some concessions, or just being flat defeated — this is a master political game and the fact that he’s even present speaks highly of him. He’ll play safe I predict, grumble a bit then try and change the topic.
Oh, this was for entertainment purposes only.
Following the Constitution should be so easy, but our Republican Congress keeps concocting twisted legislation that turns everything on its head, and inevitably empowers 0.
Hannity was all over it earlier today, too.
