He is boring... Walker, Cruz, Paul, and Rubio are not.
The GOP-e and Chamber and their ilk want one of their own who won't rock the boat. The last thing they want is someone who actually believes all that conservative crap about the Constitution, limited government, national sovereignty, etc.
I know Santorum’s time is over, but he did come in second place in 2012 after all. Not that awful considering Reagan came in 2nd place in 1976. Santorum ruined his chances because the last 4 years he has basically done nothing and new blood has arrived that is better, but I still think it is foolish to laugh over someone who came pretty close to winning it last time.
True leaders arise to the occasion.

As I was briefly listening to Laura Ingram and Hugh Hewitt lately, it seems they barely give a nod to Cruz being in the race.

Which is why it’s incumbent to start attacking the US Chamber of Commerce traitors. This same business group, although German at that time period and from the 1930s, gave the world Herr Hitler. Time to remind these pricks that America has lampposts from sea to shining sea and they have names and addresses.

Do you realize just how awful the weather is in Texas as compared to California? And Texans are not cordial to Californians. I have a very good friend who moved to Austin to take a senior technical management position at Tracor. For seven years, his neighbors shunned him and his family because “they weren’t real Texans.” The sad part of it was he couldn’t get anywhere near what he needed from the custom home he built there to buy a new place back in the Silicon Valley, but he left anyway. The driver was his wife came to visit us and refused to go back, forcing her husband to find another job back in California! She is a very nice woman who basically said “Texans are “inbred a$$holes” who think you have to “earn the right to live there by living there for a couple of generations and take their crap.” Sorry 2DV, but that’s what she said. Now I suppose the Texas “long knives” will be on the hunt here.
I grew up in Chino, California and then lived in Iowa for decades. I’ve never seen any rejection from Texans in any way, shape or form. Ever.

Your right, conservatives need to get behind one canadate and soon.
That’s why I have written to Jim Robinson to write up a whole page article in why he would think that Ted Cruz would be the best choice among conservative.
Also to formally and officially make a annouchment here on FR that he endorses and supports Ted Cruz for president before the GOP field gets to thinned out and deluted the vote.
Ted Cruz could use a big endorsement now.
