DEA Chief Explains Why She Can't Fire Agents Involved in Sex Parties Paid for by Drug Cartels
CNS News ^ | 4-15-15 | Susan Jones

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Administrator Michele Leonhart said she is "offended by the behavior" of DEA agents who engaged in prostitution and sex parties while working on the taxpayers' dime.

But Leonhart told the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday there's nothing she can do about it except to write memos stating that "these kinds of behaviors require significant discipline."

If you can't fire the agents or even recommend that they be fired, "What the hell do you get to do?!" an exasperated Rep. Trey Gowdy asked her.

I think it’s time we looked at the DEA “Admins” Bank Account to see just WHO has been making “Deposits”!

So did she say: “It’s Congress who wrote these stupid laws, not me!”

Can't fire them? Reassign them to Yemen or the Somali coast.

I am SO SICK of the arrogance of the political class, elected, appointed, hired hands. All of these workers belong in jail, and so does she, for abetting their very bad behavior.

Actually....once it gets mentioned to the organizational security guy...he opens up the book and suspends your clearance. It’ll stay suspended by current rules (as long as they enforce what’s in the book currently).

Military has same security rules and can easily yank your clearance. Go try to do your job these days without a minimum of a secret clearance. Even National Park Service requires a secret clearance.

So, ask the DEA chief why she won’t enforce current regulations.

I believe George W. Bush put her in her position. George was clueless.

Government employees are hard to fire!!

Have a relative that works for DARPA as a high level manager. Has an incompetent employee he inherited after previous boss retired. This employee is totally inept at her job but it would take about 3-5 years to get her fired using the system they have. By then she'll be retired, so she gets crap assignments until then!!!

The rules, guidelines, or whatever should be established before any agents are sent undercover in a drug cartel. If, e.g., attending sex parties is not acceptable, then the agents shouldn’t be sent undercover. Once undercover, they have to maintain their cover, or die. The agents need some latitude to protect their cover, or else they are likely to be killed. If agents aren’t allowed the latitude necessary to “fit in”, then don’t send them undercover.

Please, don’t assume that I’m defending the sex parties — or anything the cartel members get up to, for that matter.

Government employees can look at porn all day on government property (taxpayer’s property) and still not get fired.

Dear Americans: President Bill Clinton was getting a blowjob in the White House and now his wife is running for President.

Do you see how that works?

Ignore morality until it bites you in your donkey.

When anything goes, it will eventually empty your wallet.

As a Lieutenant in the Navy I was assigned to a Joint Service Command for my first shore duty assignment. The command was about 40% civilians. Most were excellent but there were a few that were very questionable. Most of these were approaching retirement.

Shortly after I arrived we started a project to move the Command Headquarters. The Military could have moved in less than a month (equipment included). Not so the civilians. They were less than helpful. This caused me to write my version of one of Murphy's Laws.

LonePalm's Law of Military/Civilian Reorganization: The number of days necessary to reorganize any Military/Civilian Organization is equal to the square of the civilians involved.

I also created a Rube Goldberg equation to project the number of days necessary to fire a federal government employee.

"Ceterum censeo 0bama esse delendam."

Maybe the House Oversight Committee should be asking why a Federal agency not authorized by the Constitution even exists at all.

You need to see the video. It’s an Executive Branch problem. An AG problem.

It is stunning. It goes beyond words.

If you are DEA, and you know what you are doing, you are invincible. Literally, the only option you’ve got against a corrupt DEA agent is to kill them. There’s no due process, UNLESS, of course, you work with them, they ask you on a date, and you charge them with sexual harassment.

There’s only one punishment option for sexual harassment - removal. For anything else, there’s suspension. Even Murder by a DEA agent would not result in removal - just sexual harassment.

You can’t make this stuff up.

I was going to point out the same thing. When someone goes undercover, to some degree, he or she has to act like a bad guy. I can understand stopping short of murder or extreme violence or rape but bad guys are going to do drugs and have wild parties. In order to maintain their cover, the agents are going to have to do some of that stuff themselves.

Government employees are hard to fire!!

No they're not — just make their job a $0 salaried volunteer position and watch them run away.

She is the perfect politically correct bureaucrat. Her power is limited to platitudes and pushing paper. She is a minion who worships at the foot of the PC Church of Liberalism and High Priest Barack Obama.

"What the hell do you get to do?!" an exasperated Rep. Trey Gowdy asked her.

Gowdy will prance and pontificate.. BUT, NOTHING will come as a result of it.

We SEE who is doing what... we however do NOTHING about it.

It's like KNOWING WHO robbed the bank because you have video evidence of it but NO ONE is arrested or prosecuted.

The "ONE PARTY" system marches on with their 100% Kabuki theater performance.

So you're suggesting the agents must also do drugs to maintain their covert status?
