Yeah, Disney Feature Animation is so anti-gay. /eyeroll

You can’t expect a publicly-traded corporation to have an animated, for-all-ages film having an openly gay character whose gayness is a major plot point.

What Disney and other strongly-left-leaning firms do is hint around the edges. Some quick examples: the Hunchback, Mulan and Elsa (of “Frozen”) may not have been gay, but they sang plaintive songs about how different and not-accepted they felt because of that difference.

And I think that’s cool.

But apparently to the militant types, it’s not enough.

Who decides whether a character is GLB(T)? Particularly when there is no sexual content or clearly indicated same-sex inclination?

Is Scar gay in "The Lion King," or just effete? He didn't sire any cubs after killing his brother Mufasa and exiling his nephew Simba, but that may simply have been because the pride's lionesses couldn't stand him.

Is Mulan lesbian? (Probably not, based on the double-takes she makes at the drill instructor guy.)

Is Elsa of "Frozen" lesbian? "No one was getting ANYwhere with her," the villainous Prince Hans explains.

These questions are impossible to answer objectively.

I disagree with your examples (hunchback, mulan, and elsa) none of which were gay or could be considered so.

I do think some characters or funny side kicks could be considered gay in some disney films. The Genie in Aladin comes to mind.
