Prediction from National Review Online: Hillary will win

Writing at National Review Online (and speaking for herself, not the editorial board), Myra Adams offers “Five Reasons Why Hillary Wins in 2016.”  It is worth examining her reasoning and looking not to dismiss it, but rather for means of countering the strengths she cites.  Presidential politics are very challenging for the GOP these days, and demographic trends, spurred by immigration policy, do not favor conservatives.

Reason number one: “First Female President”

The Democrats discovered and brilliantly exploited the “historic first” strategy with Barack Obama, foisting a radical, inexperienced rookie senator on us.  There are about four times more women than blacks, so the historic first strategy has an excellent chance of working again, and it is probably Hillary’s strongest card.

What to do?  Well, Carly Fiorina as VP nominee seems like a pretty good counter-strategy.  It is pretty clear she is hoping for exactly that role, and because of her two X chromosomes, she can go after Hillary in a way that no Y chromosome-impaired candidate could.  Veep nominees historically have role of attack dog, and Carly has shown herself very capable at this.  A female VP would  also be a historic first, and allow women with doubts about Hillary a chance to strike a blow for women without subjecting the nation to a lying, devious, imperious, nasty, and sneaky woman like Hillary.

Reason number two: “The Electoral College Is the GOP’s Worst Enemy”

This is the commonplace analysis, that a “blue wall” of Democrat sure-thing victories gets any Dem nominee perilously close to victory in Electoral College.

What to do?  Fight like hell in states that are considered blue historically but that have seen some red victories.  Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, for example.  And focus resources on Florida and Ohio.

I assumed the Mob would roll out Warren after MoveOn.org came out and endorsed her right after the first of the year.

I suspect there might have been some sort of deal. Let Hillary have here 4 years, then she'll step aside and let Warren or some other far-leftie have a go at it.

Of course, the Clintons are very honorable, so if there is a deal I'm sure Hillary will keep her end of the bargain.

My take is that Warren is dirty somehow. Against Hillary, that’s saying something.

“The wild card National Review is not figuring is Obama.”

Another wild card not being figured is if the Republicans can nominate a conservative who actually fights, like Donald Trump. A nominee who fights can nullify all her points.

As dirty as this makes me feel to try and discern their line of thinking. I think they feel running Warren in 2020 against an incumbent Republican President is a better play than letting her go head to head without a stacked deck to which they can attack from. Especially considering the premise she tries to sell of being anti-wall street.

Here's my prediction: Whovever wins will win because it's God's will. I pray for spiritual awakening in this country. If we continue to slide down the path of moral depravity we will get exactly what we deserve.

A Cruz win would be an act of mercy for this country and Hillary win would bring judgment and consequences. Looking at what we are becoming, it hardly seems that mercy would be the right remedy or just.

The MSM has a year and a half to totally destroy every GOP candidate out there. The Democrats could run Bill Ayers and he could still win.

There was an unreported meeting (except for a WSJ blog) at the WH 3 weeks ago with the Clintons and the Chicago Mob.

I wonder if Hillary got the go-ahead at that point. Right afterwards the campaign signed a lease on two floors of a NYC office building and hired 35 people.
