IMHO, one of the greatest investments one can make before one decides to carry concealed, is to at least one of Mas Ayoob’s books. Many years ago, when I was beginning to think about a CCW permit, I bought a copy of his “In the Greatest Extreme.” However, when I checked Amazon, I didn’t realize that book is 35 years old! Mas has a newer book, and being familiar with him (and having met him once, a long time ago), my guess is the new book is every bit as definitive on the subject, just more up to date. “Deadly Force - Understanding Your Right to Self Defense.”

Put simply, should I ever be involved in a shooting, in the aftermath, I would do all I could to have Mas involved in my defense as an “expert witness!”

The Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network gave out copies of Massad Ayoob’s latest book with their yearly packets last year.
I love that guy.

Really? Then take one of his courses NOW. Alumni get his legal services free.

Mas Ayoob's book is "In the Gravest Extreme..."

Excellent tutorial; I highly recommend it. But nothing is better than a careful study and knowledge of your own State's laws on the carry and use of firearms.

Wish I could have afforded the time and money to attend Mas's "LFI" (Lethal Force Institute) course while I was stuck nearby in MA...
