then the gunman keeps walking down the street past a motorhome - hostage potential or a getaway vehicle for a COPs feature chase.

WTF is up with FreeRepublic’s search engine?
I went looking for this story with the words “Arizona”, “Police”, “Suspect” and several others with the FreeRepublic search engine.
This article was NOWHERE to be found.
I had to go to Google and enter “cop runs over suspect freerepublic” to finally find this.
The search engine here needs some serious work.
I heard a talking head on CNN say that it was a good thing, for the suspect, that the cop ran him over, because the suspect was suicidal, and the cop stopped him from killing himself.
There is no. way. in. hell. that the cop thought this guy would live through being hit by a cop cruiser at that speed.
