Boehner boots rebels
Washington Examiner ^ | APRIL 14, 2015 | SUSAN FERRECHIO

Posted on 04/14/2015 3:41:23 PM PDT by Jane Long

Three months after they voted against John Boehner's third term as speaker, two Republicans have been removed from a key committee in retaliation for their dissent.

The House Rules Committee announced on Tuesday that they have filled two positions temporarily vacated by Reps. Richard Nugent and Daniel Webster, who were taken off the panel after they joined 24 conservative Republicans in voting against Boehner in January.

Reps. Bradley Byrne, R-Ala., and Dan Newhouse, R-Wash., will fill the positions, meaning that Webster and Nugent have been permanently ousted. The two lawmakers served on the Rules Committee in the 113th Congress, but were excluded from the roster approved by lawmakers in the hours after they voted against Boehner.

Nugent and Webster appear to be the only lawmakers to lose committee posts after voting against Boehner. Republican leadership aides told the Washington Examiner the Rules panel is considered an arm of the Speaker's office, and thus has a higher threshold for loyalty that Nugent and Webster did not meet because they voted against Boehner.

House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions, R-Texas, praised Byrne for his "commitment to a small, conservative federal government and a strong national defense."

Sessions called Newhouse, "a tireless advocate for prioritizing nuclear cleanup issues, science, and technological innovation during his time in Congress."

All to benefit the executive branch. Boehner is guilty of treason by making war against the USA in this fashion.

Rep. Nugent is such a patriot. He has sons currently in the military and takes care of the vet 110%.

Punitive Bone-head will pay.

A lot that I know about how politicians work can be seen in the 1985 movie “Witness”. Particularly how the Harrison Ford character figured out the corruption ring when the Amish kid pointed out the Danny Glover character. Bet they would not be able to make a movie exactly like that nowadays (particularly with a black man being the main baddie).

It is time to reject the GOP.

EXEMPT McCain targeted the IRS on conservatives.

EXEMPT Boehner targeted ALL Americans by making $$$$ off
of ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE.

NONE OF THEM Care about their constituents.
Except perhaps Sen. Cruz.

.

I have to be CAREFUL about pinning a lot of hope / expectation on Ted Cruz 2016 ...

Ted Cruz might crumble, stumble, or win and betray us all ...

However, that aside ... the odds are that both Boehner and McConnell would be informed by "president-elect" Ted Cruz that their leadership services WOULD NOT BE NEEDED anymore in the newly elected 2016 Congressional session ...

just a guess ...

The 2016 election could be like the Battle of New Orleans ... where the GOPe and Hillary get their collective asses kicked really bad by the American Tea Party folks ...

GOP-e at its sleaziest, to be sure. Do they undermine the ballot to invite the bullet?

The repercussions extend way beyond US shores, too; there won’t be “Pax AnyoneElse-ica” once they destroy Pax Americana completely; it will be “Bellum Mundi” for the third time.

” Boehner is such a Small man. I will celebrate the day his RINO butt gets booted out!”

He will get booted to a 1 million+ a year lobbyist position as pay for helping to sell out his country. McConnell got 20+ million early.
