Music-festival season is underway, and its important to make sure to dress appropriately not just for the weather, but for cultural sensitivity as well. If youre not sure what I mean, thats okay! I spent some time on Social Justice Internet today finding some helpful tips so that you can understand what I mean and why its so important: Aside from obvious no-nos like Native-American headdresses or Indian bindis, you also need to make sure that the patterns on your clothes arent offensive. Thats right its not enough to simply make sure your shirt is clean and doesnt have any insensitive or crude images on it, you actually also also need to research the pattern and make sure it couldnt be interpreted as having been inspired by tribal or Aztec culture:

I guess blackface is right out then.

So, make other cultures irrelevant.
There is an image out there of “co-exist” done with the different brands of firearms. Sorry, I’m not good at loading pictures, or I would post it.
Well, unless you’re going to an Al Jolson show. :>}
So does this make music festivals a ‘safe place’?
I’m sure they’re gun free zones, so yes they would be absolutely safe. Gun free zones are ALWAYS safe.
Although not listed, I presume Confederate battle flags are out.
OK then. That swastika tattoo on the forehead I wanted is right out.

As for disturbing patterns, this clothing makes me dizzy. Does dizziness qualify as being offended?

“The Source defines cultural appropriation as adopting elements of a different culture, typically without consent, and that is bad.””
Exactly! So if a Cherokee, Inuit, Hindu, Scandinavian, West African or Bolivian wears jeans, sneakers, a t-shirt with or without band name, and baseball cap that is insulting and degrading to Americans, all Americans, and should be shunned and ridiculed. Add a denim jacket and now you make us REALLY ANGRY!
