Ted Cruz replies to reporter's question.

“I will never forget him saying the American people do not yet understand how close we are to taking our country back....I hung on those words and still do. There are far more people working behind the scenes then we realize..and they are not going to show their cards until timely that they do so.
This election is far more than simply an election...its Americas future or not......”
I don’t know if it’s to late to change course away from the iceberg. But if Cruz thinks it can be done, I’d trust him on it. I hadn’t heard hum make that statement. Behind the scenes folks.... must be nonpoliticians then? I wouldn’t trust many in the GOP.
If there is that "way back," it might be the first time in human history that a "restoration" of a Republic will have ever occurred. It is historically more likely, IMNVHO, that the cycle will complete itself. Due to the tempo of modern life, the cycle may go one hell of a lot faster than it did for the empires of the classical European past.
Our ancestors spent the centuries between the coming to power of Julius Caesar and the collapse of the Byzantine Empire trying in "fits and starts," to somehow "restore" Republic of Rome, only to ultimately miss the goal.
What we are busily proving right now is that Democracy, all by itself, is the Tyranny of the Ignorant. The Founders knew this.
I can’t argue your take, as a matter of fact that’s the way I see not only the U.S. but the entire world going. The de-evolution of American society has been facilitated by the progressives for more than a century. The tipping point was probably reached with LBJ. Obama is a manifestation of progressive cultural decline. Although I will say if any society can beat the odds it would be ours. This great experiment is an anomaly and we may rise again.
Well the wnd video doesn't load for me, but here's a youtube version of it:Thank you very much for finding and posting this version. I bump your YouTube link below hoping more people will find and view this tour de force response from Ted Cruz on a 2nd Amendment issue.
VIDEO >>> Ted Cruz: The Constitution trumps public opinion
I was forced to use a different browser and different path to get the WND video version to load for me. The YouTube video is much easier for all to access.
I was making an obscure Bill and Ted reference. Carry on.
“Anyone looking for the perfect candidate to wave a magic wand and restore us to a foundational constitutional government merely by his election as president would be better served tilting at windmills.”
I whole heartedly agree with you. I would only add that the real promise of electing an unabashed conservative, such as Ted Cruz, is that I think it would go a long way in changing the culture of the country. It would likely bring it back to a “future of promise” and it may even help to usher in a Convention of the States. Then we could actually build some federalism back into the country...
Another case of “A Conflict of Visions” (Sowell).
Fixed, objective right and wrong
vs
Human defined (and morphing) right and wrong
#7. Rights come from God is the Cross to a vampire for a leftist.
We’ve got to get away from the concept of the judgement of constitutionality of any law/regulation being the sole purview of the Supreme Court.
Judging Constitutionality of any gov’t action has to happen in all branches.
I agree.
Nicely done, FRiend!!
"Do you agree with Ted Cruz that the Consitiion[sic] overrides personal opinion?"
(And you even have the advantage of having been "schooled on the subject", by Hosepipe -- and Cruz ...)
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your answer...?
Agreed.
I felt that Reagan did a good job of explaining our global duty to Americans. In some things he may not have been very good, but in others I thought he was quite good.
Exactly. No teleprompter to tell him what George Soros wants him to so.
Do you think that I think otherwise?
People like Feinstein, Schumer, Bloomberg, Reid, Obama, Clinton, Sarah Brady, Pelosi, Boxer, Emmanuel, Biden, Soros all have an opinion, and we know what that is. That opinion is that freedom is bad, and government is good. Government should hold our hands from cradle to grave, and that we don't need to protect ourselves. We know that opinion very well; the Constitution merely reiterates the Absolute Rights we have endowed to us by our Creator. Those Absolute Rights are not subject to the opinions of those in government. I absolutely agree with Cruz.
It is my believe that Cruz has an understanding of God. Don’t worry, if we are on the right side, we have nothing to worry about.
