If you haven't done so already, please call your Texas House rep and ask them to support the pending Open Carry bill. The vote is tomorrow!

This is probably the best we can get from the legislooters this session, as long as Strauss remains in power. I’d still prefer Constitutional Carry. I’m disappointed in the Texas legislature, as always.

I The bill sounds helpful and we support it but no license permit or fee should ever be required to execrcise our Condtitutional rights. !!! Texas can do a lot better than this

Rights aren't earned. God gives them. The Texas legislature is off on a wild tangent with acting like a right is a privilege.

If my state rep doesn’t vote for it, I’ll run against him.

Again.

This is already a done deal; by the time legislation like this comes to a floor vote, it has already been through the committee hearings, amendments have been offered and accepted or rejected, and this floor vote is a formality.

The Dimocrats will do everything they can to stall it, but when it comes to a final vote, it’s going to pass.

“Constitutional Carry” is the subject of another bill.

It never hurts to call...They should be going into session here just after lunch...

Its going to be a lonnngggggg day...

Lessee is the Strauss thugs screw this thing up...

That’s what you need to call and tell them NOT to succumb to...

Joe Strauss is still one of those guys that needs to have his Huevos Rancheros kicked up through his ears...

Every American citizen of good standing age seventeen, if on active military duty, or older is entitled by the constitution to carry, open or concealed, a firearm of their choice anywhere they please. Any and all regulations/laws to the contrary are ipso facto unconstitutional.

The government should not under any circumstances have access to lists of owners of firearms. That access can only be for one thing, Future confiscation of those firearms.

When a citizen gets their drivers license renewed the DMV checks for wants and warrants, Basically the same check done on someone purchasing a firearm. so simply put a code on the back of the license that allows someone to purchase a gun. That way a background check is done and the government does not get told you now own a firearm. This would work as well as the current system at keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.
