A Chik-Fil-A opened the other day in a Seattle suburb, and the Seattle Times food writer wrote an extremely snarky column about it, chastising Chik-Fil-A for the owner’s anti-gay marriage beliefs, and suggesting some other frou-frou restaurant as an option for a chicken sandwich. Among “tolerant” progressives, you can now have your business threatened simply for holding the same view of marriage that was virtually universal twenty years ago.
Though there are many possible tipping points of America’s death as a republic (I use Raich v Gonzales as one where the Commerce clause was interpreted to give federal government unlimited power), most of us would agree what we have is not what the Founders intended.
As a military veteran, I am not certain this country is worth defending anymore.
That kind of stuff is mind boggling. In a sane world that writer would immediately be fired but of course the Seattle Times is not run by sane people.
