This is the sort of thing that happens when all the oxygen is preemptively pumped out of the room. The Power Couple has been around so long that the Democrat Party does not have much of a bench when it comes to running national candidates, and both Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, and Billy Jeff derive their benefit, such as it is, from the fact they have been so well-known for so long, like forever for a person in their twenties or thirties. Now they have come to believe this is the way it is supposed to be, having no reliable measure of what it was like before Team Clinton came on the horizon.
