Not in this case. Germany has subsidized much of the cost of these submarines as a gift to Israel in repayment for their crimes against the Jewish people in WWII. Germany is not making any money on this deal.

I suspect that the Sultan would like to see the Samson Option play out. That would take care of both of the Sunni president’s two major opponents in the ME and clear the whole area for a Sunni caliphate.If the mullah’s are as religiously fanatical as they appear to be then ensuring an Iranian nuclear capacity would ensure that scenario. If rhe Iranians get cold feet then Hussein can arrange for a nuke on Tel Aviv and blame it on the Iranians and have the same result. Then if the IDF were to know immediately that the nuke arrived from America how would that modify the Option?
