Their money is down 23% to the dollar this year alone

Sadly, this is the same story with currency through many nations including Colombia, which I had thought was running pretty smoothly.

But yes, I have been watching, too. What is interesting is the amount of protest I'm seeing. The thing is, they've been through this before with dictators, and within a generation. Then they went right back within 20 years and did the same thing all over again. They simply have further to fall this time and a different standard for currency.

I've been there during the days of the cruzeiro and cruzado. Folks I know lost everything with the crash and revaluation. They rebuilt their fortunes again.

Yet like I said, they'd vote for a socialist again.

I don’t believe the Brazilians have a choice. They have something like 34 different parties and each one has “socialist” or “communist” as part of their name.
