Steve Jobs was a Vegan, and it killed him. Those 5k plates of veggies didn't help
that poor man one bit. Poor Steve Jobs , maybe if he would've taken
Gwyneth's diet advice.

Present-day Mexican food is most definitely a fusion.
American: Tomatoes, chilis, corn, chocolate, etc.
Eurasian: Wheat, pork, beef, cheese, sour cream, rice, chicken, etc.
The result is certainly greater than the sum of its parts.

Gwyneth Paltrow has vowed to live on just $29 worth of food for a week...
ONLY a WEEK?

'This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store - what families on SNAP (food stamps) have to live on for a week,' she wrote. Gwyneth, dear, just help elect more conservatives and fewer people will have to live on food stamps.

So toss in a bag of potato chips, there are your calories. Who’d ever figure junk food could be the hero here.

I realize that the old world chickens brought here were easier to keep than the native turkeys-but I’ll bet a lot of the dishes that use chicken would taste better with turkey...

There is actually an obscure argument whether chickens arrived in America before Columbus, albeit in South America, perhaps from Polynesians. (Kon-Tiki in reverse)

Well you can only do so much.

I’ve seen that mentioned in a couple of shows on H2-it is certainly likely, since people were traveling all over as soon as they had boats and could paddle or steer.
There have been stone pens with turkey bones found in pre-Columbian settlements that were raided and laid waste by warring tribes in Mexico, so they definitely kept and ate that.
