Vet, your Tex Mex types don’t much have a lot in common with the Cubanos, so their support for Cruz is going to be just naturally underwhelming. Now this Cruz guy isn’t what I would call overtly Latino in the Eli Wallach - Ricardo Montalban sort of way. Hell, his Spanish isn’t even all that good.
He somehow garnered 41% of the Latino vote in his last election.
