Huckabee, sandtorum, kookpaul jr., all have ZERO chance of winning. Yet they insist on taking up electoral oxygen and wasting time and money.
They can raise money (AKA accept bribes) and pay salaries to themselves and their family/friends.
I absolutely agree with you. The theory is that these outsiders can influence opinions and if enough support it and it sticks, then the outsider can help shape a message for the rest of the field and even the nominee.
Look at Elizabeth Warren. She is doing the same thing to Hillary, and the Left is kissing Lizzy’s ring night and day for it, resulting in the Left pressuring Hillary to, “get the Warren message, or else...”.
