Societal: Even in ancient Greece - and Rome to a significant extent - where pederasty was practiced as a societal norm, and would also have tended to flow over into adulthood, if any such marital institution was ever contemplated it would quickly have been viewed as deteriorating their entire society, of which such decadence was as likely a contributing cause nonetheless.
